5. Acceptance of Dispute
- Upon receipt by the Committee or the Chamber of a Request for Arbitration in accordance with clause 4 (a), the Committee may accept the dispute for arbitration if it appears to the Committee that arbitration is sought upon a dispute falling within the arbitration agreement or the court order.
- Before deciding on the Request for Arbitration, the Committee may ask the parties for further information and in particular for a short description of their claims, if such a description has not already been supplied earlier.
- If the Committee decides to accept a dispute for arbitration it shall notify the parties named in the arbitration agreement or the court order forthwith.
- In any arbitration under the International Wool Textile Arbitration Agreement, the Committee shall, upon notification to the buyer of acceptance of the dispute give to the buyer an opportunity of requesting the appointment of an arbitrator from the buyer's country.
