The Rules
- These are the Rules of Arbitration of the Arbitration Committee of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce. They are referred to hereinafter as "The Rules". The Bradford Chamber of Commerce is referred to as "the Chamber".
- The Rules apply to all arbitrations agreed or required to be held under the Rules of the Arbitration Committee of the Chamber, or by the Arbitration Committee or any officer of the Committee.
- The Rules further apply to all arbitrations agreed or required to be held under the Rules of the Chamber, or by the Chamber, or (whether pursuant to the International Wool Textile Arbitration Agreement or otherwise) to be arranged or presided over by the Chamber.
- The Rules also govern all arbitrations agreed or required to be held by arbitrators or umpires appointed by the Arbitration Committee, the Chamber or any officer of the Arbitration Committee or the Chamber or otherwise appointed with the assistance of the Committee or the Chamber.
Any agreement or order for arbitration as mentioned hereinbefore shall accordingly be deemed to contain a clause giving the arbitrators and umpires jurisdiction and the powers conferred by these Rules.

- These Rules will be amended from time to time (on the authority of the Arbitration Committee) and new editions will accordingly be issued from time to time. This is the 2000 Edition and takes effect on 1st January 2000. After that date, any reference to the Rules shall be a reference to this or the appropriate subsequent addition, in accordance with Para © of this Rule. Where any arbitration is held under the Rules after that date pursuant to an agreement made before that date, the parties shall be asked to agree to the application of the current edition, and unless some party when so asked objects, the current edition shall accordingly be applied.
- Subject to Para (b) of this clause, an arbitration shall be held under the edition current at the date when the Request for Arbitration is made, with all amendments made up to that date. Later amendments of a procedural character may be given effect to by arbitrators and umpires in their discretion. A reference in an arbitration agreement or order to a particular edition of the Rules shall operate as a reference to this or the appropriate subsequent edition of the Rules, including this paragraph of the present clause.
