UKTI sector specialists

For some time now in partnership with the Cluster Groups at Yorkshire Forward, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has been exploring the best way to give our industry sector groups across the region an added edge in their bids for overseas trade. We know that there are opportunities out there for groups of companies in designated sectors which may pass the individual companies by. Identifying and capturing those opportunities in good time is a challenging job and that’s why UKTI together with Yorkshire Forward decided to appoint seven Sector Specialists for the Yorkshire and Humber region.

All seven of these are now in place and are currently working alongside UKTI’s International Trade Teams based in the Business Links across the region and South Yorkshire International Trade Centre.

Like other International Trade Advisers, the Specialists will deliver hands on advice to business but at the same time they will concentrate on creating and building up those strategic networks which will inform the sectors they represent and improve their performance in overseas markets.
